Scripting can be used within a request configuration to bind the visibility, changeability or necessity of issue attributes to certain conditions. Mail and News Application actions also require the definition of scriptable options in order to dynamically determine the set of email receivers or the subject of an News Application entry when executing the corresponding action for instance. Stages prepares a set of objects that can be used in scripts that provide information needed to define such conditions. For example the visibility of an issue attribute could depend on the current issue state.
