Anchors

An anchor is used to point to a specific position in the text. You might link from the bottom of a long page to the top of the page, or link from an item in a Tabel of Contents to the corresponding item where it appears on the page.

Create an Anchor

  1. Put the cursor to the position you want to insert the anchor.
  2. Click the Flag button on the toolbar. The Set Anchor dialog window will appear.
  3. Enter the anchor name in the Anchor Name text box and click OK.
    1. The flag icon will appear in the text.

Note: To delete an anchor, click the flag icon and press “DEL” key.

Warning: Please note that the anchor has to point to a text position and not a selection of text. The selection will be deleted.

  1. Put the cursor to the position you want to insert the anchor link.
  2. Press “Insert link” (chain button) on the toolbar. The Link dialog window will appear.
  3. Click the magnifier button on right side of the element. The “Anchors in description” dialog window will appear.
  4. Choose the required anchor and click Insert
  5. Doupleclick on the link if you want to change the name of the anchor link

Edit an Anchor

  1. Double click on the flag icon in the text. The Set Anchor dialog window will appear.
  2. Edit the anchor name in the Anchor Name text box and click OK.
    1. The flag icon will appear in the text.

Warning: Please note that if the anchor name has been changed that the links to the anchor should be reworked.
