Each process can have multiple versions. The Valid Version is the process version that should generally be used. New process instances are typically set up based on the valid version.

The valid version is the process version that is visible to the end users. The valid version is always marked with a “V” icon in version lists.

To see versions other than the valid version, users need to have the “Process Version” read permission.
